You are doing a good job. I think the transition looks seamless to me, between Dave and yourself. I like the electronic format over the paper one. Color Photos are adding value. You might even want to consider having a monthly photo contest in two categories: Aviation on the ground and from the air. I'm sure some interest will spark for entries. Oscar Olszewski

Great job on the e-newsletter. I have one suggestion. More of a personal preference than anything so you are not going to hurt my feelings if you don't incorporate it into the next edition. I like reading the newsletter from cover to cover. To make the e-version as close to this as possible, it would be nice to have a link at the bottom of the page which took you directly to the next page of what would be in the paper version all the way through to the end. Just a suggestion. Again, great job. Burke Bristow

(ED. Note: I am creating a new web page to add to the e-newsletter that will allow you to print and view the snail mail version in color. You can also read it page by page, cover to cover. It will take about 7 minutes for all the pages to render with a 56k modem. It’s worth the wait if you’ve ever wondered what RUNWAY 35 would look like in color. It will be a pdf file and you need Adobe Reader to view and print it. You probably already have it on your computer, but if you don’t, you can download it for free at www.adobe.com By offering this option to Chapter 35 members, I hope to encourage use of the e-newsletter over the black and white print version, thus saving the Chapter some of the printing and publishing costs.)

A newsletter is only as good as it’s content. You are invited to contribute. Any stories, pictures or upcoming events that you know of, please send them to the editor. If you like to surf the web, and you run across an interesting aviation related news story or photo, please send me the URL (web address) and I will research it.

Digital photos must be either JPEG or GIF. Please do not send large picture files, I won’t download them if they are over 500k in size because I am using dial-up. You can resize any digital picture with most any photo editor. Most of the photos that I use in the newsletter are between 15k and 100k in size. Please send your contributions to kris123@tds.net. I will accept MS Word, MS Works, WordPerfect or most any text document including emails.
