The first Builder's Academy, 21 May, 2005

In April, the mentor team began to form.

After review of the project this past Wednesday, 9 March, 2005, it has been decided that the Dream Classic is now ready to move into a new phase of construction. The project is ready to be moved to the San Geronimo Airpark. This will allow Saturday work to proceed under the supervision of chapter members. The project will be located at Lew Mason's hangar.

Warren High School, with sponsorship by Al Almond, has begun construction of their Dream Classic. Instructors Don Copeland and Clarence Smith provide the instruction and inspiration

We have finally received all the kit, as of last week, and want to arrange to speak of the Chapter at the February meeting to solicit volunteers to work with high school students.  I have the drafting teacher scaling some of the plans to full size, and I have the shop and storage space locked on.  We're ready to go and build Al Almond's airplane (and learn a lot along the way).  I realize the best way to do this is to work together, Warren HS and EAA Chapter 35.
